Get Utah driver license when coming from out of country (U.S. citizen under 21)
To get your Utah license you will have to
- visit a DLD office twice
- First visit: to show documents, take open book test, and to get your permit
- Second visit: to take driving skills test or show proof that you have with a 3rd party tester & get official license
- bring a parent or guardian to sign for you if under 18

- Your country's driver license as proof of being previously licensed
- Proof of identity

- Proof of social security number.
- Two (2) proofs of your Utah address
- Proof of name change, if applicable
At your appointment
- Have confirmation # ready to check in
- Have photo taken
- Present documents
- Take eye test
- Pay non-refundable fee of $52.00
- Take the 25-question open-book written knowledge test
- Have parent/guardian sign for you if under 18

When do I get my license?
