Renew ID Card - Not U.S. Citizen

    • You can renew your Utah limited-term ID card six (6) months before the expiration date.
    • Online renewal is not an option for a limited-term ID card.
    • If you renew before your 21st birthday, your limited-term ID will still show minor.  You would not be issued an “adult” ID card until on or after your 21st birthday.
    1. Fill out application and schedule appointment

When do I get my ID card?

    • A temporary identification card with a photo will be issued on the same day.
    • The completed identification card will have an expiration date of your legal presence document or five (5) years, whichever is sooner; or 1-year from the date of issuance if there is no expiration date, and will then be mailed to you in approximately 4-6 weeks.
