Replace CDL - not US citizen
- Replacement CDL: the expiration date of the new license will be the same as your current license. [?]
- If your CDL expires in the next six (6) months, you are eligible to renew it.
Lost or stolen
- You may want to file a police report if your CDL has been stolen.
- If you have a police report bring it with you.

Gather your documents - must bring to appointment
- Bring your current Utah commercial driver license, if it isn't lost or stolen.
- Bring your current lawful presence identity document.
- A S.A.V.E. verification will be run to verify your document status (this process may take up to 14 days.) To understand S.A.V.E verifications, click here.
- New address? Bring 2 documents providing proof of your Utah address.
- Federal regulations require that your current address be printed on your commercial driver license.
- Name change? Bring proof of your new name.

- Have your confirmation number ready to check-in
- Have photo taken
- Present documents
- Take eye test
- Pay non-refundable fee of $23.00

When do I get my CDL?
- A temporary CDL with a photo will be issued on the same day.
- The completed CDL with the same expiration date as your previous CDLwill be mailed to you in approximately 4-6 weeks.
