- Legal/lawful presence, approved refugee/asylee/humanitarian (Afghan) parolee
- Replacement license: the expiration date of the new license will be the same as your current license. [?]

Lost or stolen
- You may want to file a police report if your license has been stolen.
- If you have a police report, bring it with you.

Gather your documents - must bring to appointment
- Bring your current license (if it isn't lost or stolen) or something with your name on it
- If your address has changed bring two documents showing proof of your new address OR update your address online before your appointment
- If your name has changed bring proof of your name change

- Have confirmation # ready to check-in
- Get your picture taken
- Show documents (if address or name has changed)
- Take eye test
- Pay non-refundable fee of $23

When do I get my license?
- A temporary license with a photo will be issued on the same day.
- The completed limited-term will have an expiration date of your legal presence document or five (5) years, whichever is sooner; or 1-year from the date of issuance if there is no expiration date, and will be mailed to you in approximately 4-6 weeks.
